Lastra Farm was originally a 17th Century Welsh Farmhouse with the usual assortment of traditionally-built outbuildings, and the feeling of staying in a much-loved home pervades the atmosphere here to this day. With its warm furnishings and traditional island touches, the house still retains much of the ambience of its heyday as a working family residence, and we have worked hard to retain many of the contemporary features and artefacts that adorned it back then.

All our bedrooms are available for your occupation Monday – Saturday from 4pm until 7.30pm on the day of your arrival, and we ask that they are vacated by 11am on the day of departure to give us time to thoroughly prepare for the next guest. Bedroom check-in on Sundays is Between 1.30pm and 4.30pm. The Bar and Restaurant are closed Sunday evening and all day Monday, however, you won't be short of places to eat and drink on Anglesey.

All of the rooms are furnished and equipped to provide luxury, comfort and warmth for our guests and many of our customers return again and again just to experience the sheer pleasure of immersing themselves in this peaceful microcosm of rural Welsh life.

As you would expect, state-of-the-art flat screen TVs and telephones are included as standard and fast broadband internet access is available in all our main-site rooms. We've just installed a new, switched Ethernet network to supplement our wireless system, ensuring you have full, high speed access to the internet for all your information needs.

THE GATEHOUSE

The Gatehouse offers two additional bedrooms, a Gatehouse Superior and a Gatehouse Junior suite, in our fascinating annexe a short 200 yards down the lane.

Shaded by established trees and with a private resident's garden area to the rear, it's a mere stroll from the main house. The Gatehouse is a cosy place that is warm and snug in winter and delightfully cool in summer and has only recently undergone extensive renovation work, with the addition of new bathrooms and plumbing, rewired electrical and heating systems and a full redecoration of the entire building.

Despite all the work recently carried out, we've been careful to ensure the Gatehouse still retains its traditional Welsh charm, carefully merging rustic and modern, as seen for example, in the traditional built-in fireplace topped by a modern flat screen TV. Meanwhile, the ultra-modern bathroom facilities boast the very latest in tasteful luxury. Perfect for either romantic breaks or family trips, its detached character ensures complete privacy and independence, while still being very conveniently situated to take full advantage of all the hotel's facilities a minute's stroll up the road.
